Natassja & Larry’s Resort Wedding Photos - Salamander Resort & Spa Wedding

Well, it took two years, but we finally made it to Natassja & Larry’s wedding! Yes! Finally! Of course with COVID-19, they had to move there wedding from 2020 to 2021. I previously shot their engagement in 2019, so it’s been a long long long time waiting for this amazing day!

So their wedding took place at the Salamander Resort & Spa. Gosh what an incredible place! Just picture perfect! When Natassja and Larry told me they were having their wedding there I was so excited! It’s located in Middleburg, VA, so it was an hour drive for me and a two hour drive for my second shooter who lives in Maryland (car accident delay). I showed up early so I can walk around the property to spot some great areas to shoot the bride and groom portraits. Unfortunately, when I was doing the bride and groom portraits, we weren’t able to make it to the Culinary Garden, which would’ve been amazing! I only had 30 minutes to shoot and of course you have to share that time with a videographer, but fortunately Natassja helped us stretch the timeline by 15 minutes so we can get the spa and front entrance in their portraits. We would’ve made it to the Culinary Garden, but we were losing light and the guests and wedding coordinator were patiently waiting for us.

Natassja & Larry, you both are amazing! I am so thankful I got this opportunity to photograph your amazing wedding! It was definitely the wedding of the year!
