Natassja & Larry's DC Engagement Photos - Washington DC Engagement
What can I say about Natassja & Larry? Just the most amazing things…haha. I love these two! They were so much fun to photograph and the way the photos turned out I could not be happier!
So normally I ask my clients if they would like to start shooting during sunrise as this is when everyone is still in bed and no one is crashing our photoshoot. But Natassja really wanted a sunset photo and at the Lincoln Memorial and on a Saturday (haha). Which during this time it is super crowded. Of course I want to make all my clients super happy and photograph at a time that works best for them. So we went for an hour before and an hour after the sunset. And when the day came, I walked up to the Lincoln Memorial and thought oh my god this is going to be tough. Not only was it super packed with people all over the place, but they also had a small event going on between the Lincoln Memorial and the Reflecting Pool. Great! I thought there was no way this will work out.
When Natassja & Larry showed up I figured out the best way to capture the impressive memorial without it looking like it was buried under a bunch of people. Once we finished there we got a few shots around the Reflecting Pool with the Washington Monument and on we went to the DC War Memorial which is pretty well known to portrait and wedding photographers for its architectural beauty. Then before it got pitch dark we made our way to the Tidal Basin where we were able to get a few shots with the Jefferson Memorial in the background.

Natassja & Larry, you guys are the best! Thank you so much for letting me photograph your engagement and I so can’t wait to photograph your wedding!
See you guys then!
