Nicole’s Family Home Portrait Photos - McLean, VA Family Portrait
It was such a bright and sunny day! You would expect it to be cold at the beginning of December, but with the sun shining it turned into a really great day with Nicole’s amazing and fun family! While bright sunlight presents some technical photographic challenges, it does give the family more reason to smile and to be happy. I mean who doesn’t like being outside on a sunny day?
Nicole’s family wanted to have their portraits done at their beautiful home in McLean. They had an amazing home with a wonderful wraparound, green yard. And that brick fence…really awesome! I tried to keep the family in the shade as much as I could and I used my flash to light them up so the background wasn’t completely blown out from overexposure. Of course photographing in the shade you have to be careful and watch out for bright spots on the subjects’ face. You can correct in post-processing, but that takes a ton of time to do and with more photoshoots and the holidays coming up I really had to get Nicole her photos to her quick.
