Ben’s Surprise Proposal Old Town Engagement Photos - Old Town Alexandria Engagement
I really enjoy doing surprise proposals. It’s challenging, yet super rewarding!
Ben wanted to do the surprise proposal to Aditi in Old Town Alexandria on the historic cobblestone Prince Street known as Captain’s Row. I love this area! The only downside is that since it’s a surprise proposal, taking some candid shots of Ben and Aditi, without Aditi knowing, was about impossible since there wasn’t many people around for me to blend in with. On the other hand it was great because Ben couldn’t keep the surprise for very long so he went straight to the proposal where we almost had the street to ourselves, minus a few onlookers and cars.
Aditi suspected that Ben was going to do this, but nonetheless she was still surprised. After the proposal we took a few shots on the historic street, then moved to the waterfront to finish out the shoot. I told Aditi and Ben to just have fun with each other, walk around, laugh, and just enjoy the moment and each other’s company. Beautiful smiles are the result of this!
I felt so lucky to have been able to photograph Aditi & Ben! They’re such an amazing couple and I had such a fun time with them!
