Alyse & David's DC Cafe Wedding Photos - Big Bear Cafe Wedding
What a fun and amazing couple!
So David & Alyse had very simple yet super charming little wedding at the Big Bear Cafe in Washington, D.C. I’m so happy I got to photograph in this little cafe on 1st Street NW. The cafe is in a bustling neighborhood, yet the wedding ceremony was in a secluded patio area next to the sidewalk and front entrance. The area was made private with the cafe’s large flowering garden planters with overhead vines and knotted trees. The lighting was excellent for this autumn wedding! The cafe is in a 120 year old Victorian commercial townhouse with exposed brick walls and rustic wood paneling.
When I showed up I wanted to capture some of the details of the venue and then I moved on to capture David & Alyse’s portrait, separately. We had a first look, then a wonderful, super awesome yet simple wedding ceremony under the plant vines. We had some nice portraits done in front of the cafe’s front entrance and then a nice little cocktail hour inside.
This was definitely one of my favorite weddings I’ve photographed! It was super simple yet David & Alyse were super super super amazing and just the nicest couple you’ll ever meet!
